The IX PILAR CITOLER INTERNATIONAL BIENNIAL PRIZE FOR CONTEMPORARY PHOTOGRAPHY call for entries. This contest is promoted since 2006 by the University of Cordoba (Andalusia, Spain) and has become one of the most prestigious awards in Spain in this field.
This edition is presented with outstanding updates, including the election of a new curator, Sema D'Acosta, with a strong determination to project the prize abroad, thus encouraging greater participation of international artists.
Also, an important effort has been made this year to strengthen the role of women in this award, by counting with a majority of prestigious female representatives of contemporary art in Spain as a part of the jury.
